Hungary is located in Central-Eastern Europe in the Carpathian Basin in the GMT+1 time zone. It spans an area of 93.023 km2, and is home to a population of 9,599,744. The capital is Budapest which has a population of 1,671,004. Hungary is member of the EU, NATO, IMF, WTO, UN, OECD, EC. It adopts a parliamentary republic form of government. The country has a strategic location, connecting Western and Eastern Europe and the Balkans. It is landlocked, but has access to the North and the Black Sea via the Danube-Rhein-Main Canal. Hungary boasts an extended motorway and railway system, along with exceptional GSM (100%), and the world's third most dense 4G (98%) coverage.
